Canadian Experience Week 1
Comenzó la aventura en el aeropuerto de Monterrey donde los alumnos se despidieron de sus familias para vivir la experiencia canadiense durante un mes. Hicieron conexión con Cd. de Mx. para después, volar a la 1:00 am hacía Vancouver. Al llegar, se hizo conexión con BC Ferries para llegar a Victoria BC. Los Homestay estaban esperando a los alumnos en Upland’s Campus.
Los alumnos llegaron a las 9:00 am a Upland’s Campus, varios de ellos tuvieron su primera experiencia usando el transporte público apoyados siempre de la aplicación “Transit”. Al estar en el Campus, tuvieron el curso de inducción donde les explicaron lo esperado al estar en su Homestay y realizaron una dinámica donde aprendieron a utilizar la moneda de Canadá.
Como parte del curso de inducción se les dió un tour al DownTown en Victoria, BC donde tuvieron la oportunidad de recorrer el corredor de Gouvernement St., Observar y admirar la arquitectura de sus edificios como The Empress, The Parliament The Inner Harbour.
Visitaron también por parte de la escuela Upland’s Campus el IMAX donde prepararon una función llamada “THE BLUE WHALES“ donde explicaba la travesía en diferentes países hacía México; ubicado en el Royal BC Museum. Después hicieron un pequeño recorrido por los pasillos del Hotel “The Empress” el cual es el primer hotel establecido en Victoria, BC.
Canadian Experience Week 2
The Victoria International Education program in Canada has assigned different schools for our students to attend during the whole month of April. They have been taking different courses such as Language, Mathematics, and Science; but also Wood Shop and Cookery lessons.
The students have had the opportunity to meet international students not only from Canada but also from countries like Japan, Thailand, and Germany using English as their main means of communication. Making new friends and learning about their cultures has been part of their everyday life situations.
They have been studying and having fun as well; during this week one of the activities included a great experience kayaking at the Gorge Paddle Club where they had a blast.

Canadian Experience Week 3
Our students are having wonderful moments with their homestay families and friends, including daily dinners and family activities, parties, and soccer matches. They have been visiting and admiring beautiful parks, such as the Butchart Gardens; always having fun and saving those moments through some pictures.

Canadian Experience Week 4
The adventure came to an end, it was time to say goodbye. The students attended a Farewell Ceremony and they got a Certificate of Completion for their short term Canadian Experience Program. After the ceremony, they had a pizza party and some time to share experiences. They realized how much they have learned during this period of time: they reinforced their English language skills, they met people from different countries, and they became more resourceful by solving the difficulties they faced every now and then.
Last weekend they also visited the Butchart Gardens, one of the finest display gardens in the world and had fun spending time playing an 18-hole minigolf course.
As a final activity, students visited the Malahat Skywalk and the Goldstream Park, where they could admire the beauties of Canadian nature. Students had a bitter-sweet moment since they had to say goodbye to their new friends and homestay families, but they were also excited to come back home.
